Your work belongs to you. This page explains how beads handles information when you use the app or visit this website.

1. Scope and contact
This policy covers Pixel Bead Shimeji & Wallpaper / beads (Android package com.beadsstudio) and the official website. The app and the website are described separately below.

2. Pictures, patterns and projects you choose
After you pick files with the system picker, the app reads those pictures, pattern projects or palettes to generate and edit bead patterns, cut out subjects, and make stickers or wallpapers. Image analysis and pattern editing run on your device. We do not operate an upload service for your creative pictures.
On Android, on-device models detect a subject, face structure and body pose to improve image processing. They are not used to identify or authenticate a person. Depth estimation uses the bundled Depth Anything V2 Small model and ONNX Runtime on the device.
Patterns, library items, progress, wallpaper snapshots and preferences stay in the app’s local storage.
3. Google ML Kit and required network activity
The Android app uses Google ML Kit for subject segmentation, face detection and pose detection. Some models are downloaded or updated by Google Play services. Google discloses that its SDKs send device and app information, device or install identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input/output sizes, feature events and errors to Google over HTTPS for diagnostics and usage analytics. Pose detection also uses Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Installations.

4. Accounts, ads and permissions
No account is required. The current version has no advertising SDK and no developer-run behaviour tracking. The app does not ask for contacts, location, microphone or camera. You control which files it can read through the system picker.
Android live wallpapers and parallax use device rotation readings for immediate drawing. Those readings stay in memory; the app does not save or upload them. Setting a live wallpaper uses the Android system interface.
5. Export, sharing, search and system backup
Only when you choose to export or share does the app write a file to a place you pick, or hand it to another app you pick. Project files may include the original picture as well as edits and progress. Check the contents before you share. Receiving apps and services apply their own privacy policies.
The Android brand-search entry can open Google Search in an external browser; the words you type go to that search service.
Android system backup is allowed. Depending on the device, Google account and settings, local app data may be included in backup, restore or device transfer, which the system and backup provider manage. You can manage backup in device settings.
6. Official website
The website is static. It provides product information, this privacy policy and open-source notices. Cloudflare hosts the site and provides network security. When you visit, Cloudflare may process IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and security logs to serve pages, stop attacks and keep the service running. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. The site adds no ads, analytics trackers or marketing cookies, and it does not store your creative work in the browser.
7. Retention and deletion
App data stays until you delete the related work, clear app storage or uninstall. Deleting a library item removes that library record; related game progress or other copies may remain. To remove all local app data, clear storage in Android settings. Export anything you want to keep first.
Exported, shared or backed-up copies are not removed automatically when you delete an item in the app. Google SDK diagnostics, system backups and Cloudflare logs follow those providers’ policies. We cannot promise direct deletion of every record from those systems. You may contact us to ask for access, correction or deletion of information we control.
8. Children
The app has no account sign-up or public community and does not ask for age. Minors should import pictures, export work and use external sharing with a guardian. Contact us if you believe a child sent personal information through the contact channel.
9. Security, updates and contact
On-device processing reduces sending creative content over the network. Operating-system app isolation helps protect local data. Manage device access, exported files and backups carefully. We will update this policy and the date on this page when features or data practices change.
